How reviews work at Mumbies
Reviews help pet parents choose. So we post them honestly, the glowing ones and the critical ones, and we tell you plainly where each one came from.
Our promise
We believe in posting truthful, honest reviews. Sometimes we offer a small thank-you to encourage people to finish writing one. That thank-you has no influence on what they say: it is the same whether the review is positive or negative, and we never ask for a good rating.
What “Verified Buyer” means
The reviewer bought and paid for this product from Mumbies. We match the review to a real order before the badge appears. Nobody can add the badge by hand, including us.
What the purple $ means
The reviewer received a small thank-you for taking the time to write their review. It can be:
Mumbies Cash
A small store credit added to your Mumbies account. For example, $1 in Mumbies Cash toward your next order.
A discount
A one-time discount on a future order.
A free product
Sometimes we send a product to try in exchange for an honest review, whatever they end up thinking of it.
The thank-you is the same for a 1-star review as for a 5-star one, and it is never taken back because a review is critical. Only a review we remove (see below) does not earn it.
How we collect reviews
- A few days after your order is delivered, we may email you one invitation to review what you bought, and one reminder if you have not used its link yet.
- Signed in to your account, you can also write a review from a product’s page.
- You can add up to 5 photos and a video of up to 60 seconds.
- Our team checks reviews against the rules below.
- Some older reviews were collected by our previous review provider and carried over.
What we never post
We do not remove a review for being negative. We only hold back a review that is spam, offensive or abusive, not about the product, fake or not from a real customer, or a duplicate of one already posted.
When we reply
Sometimes our team replies to a review, to say thanks or to help with a problem. A reply is always marked as coming from Mumbies.
