FULFILLMENT ASSOCIATE

About the Fulfillment Associate role

Mumbies is a growing small business and looking for someone who has a deep love and care for dogs and is fueled by providing a great customer experience. We need a great independent worker who can efficiently lead new order fulfillment and carefully respond to customer service requests. The typical schedule is noon-4 p.m. A typical day would have you locating new orders for the day, printing packing slips, quality checking products, neatly fitting the various products into the proper boxes and bubble mailers, accurately printing shipping labels, and responsibly taking all new orders to the post office.

In addition to the order fulfillment, you would respond to any customer support requests by email and phone in a timely manner. There would be several other various tasks you would also take on periodically like receiving and reconciling inventory, organizing and approving donation requests, and reviewing Shopify reports. There may be opportunities for more hours, advancement, and the ability to do some of the work from home. You must enjoy working at a fast pace, in a small business work environment. You must be kind, empathetic, organized, and be able to keep up with the physical demands of the role which include driving the completed orders to the post office.

Responsibilities

  • Pack and fulfill all orders
  • Manage inventory of packing materials and notify Operations when more is needed
  • Manage inventory of products and notify Operations when running low
  • Respond to customer inquiries during the day
  • Manage Shopify for fulfilling orders
  • Transporting small loads to post office (under .25 miles)
  • Managing receiving of inventory and unloading boxes
  • Keeping office organized and workspace tidy
  • Treat people fairly, consistently, and with respect
  • Treat dogs (and all animals) with respect

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
  • Proficient with office software
  • Proficient in receiving and sending emails
  • Standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting
  • Using hands or fingers to handle or feel
  • Ability to climb up and down steps
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Intermittent use of sharp cutting instruments
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Working and reliable vehicle

Role details

  • $12/hour
  • Monday - Friday 
  • Noon - 4 p.m.
